The Internet is the most extensive repository for freedom of information for all users and disabled users in particular. We give equal opportunities to disabled people to use the information presented on the website and enable a better browsing experience.

We strive to ensure that our digital services are accessible to people with disabilities. Therefore, many resources have been invested to facilitate the use of the site for disabled people as much as possible, as we believe every person has the right to live in equality, dignity, comfort and independence.

The website accessibility was made by the website accessibility company “Nagich Beklick”.

  • The website meets the regulations on equal rights for disabled people (accessibility adjustments), 2013.
  • The accessibility adjustments were made according to the Israeli standard recommendations (TI 5568) for content accessibility on the Internet at the AA level and according to the international WCAG2.0 document.
  • The website provides a semantic structure for assistive technologies, as well as support for the acceptable usage of arrow key, Enter and Esc to exit menus and windows.
  • To get the best experience browsing with screen reader software, we recommend using the latest NVDA software.

Accessibility arrangements:

Disabled parking

There are several disabled parking spaces in the hotel area. In the indoor hotel parking lot on the -2 floor, there are 2 disabled parking spaces (marked in blue on the floor) that are wide and also allow the use of a side lift to take out an electric wheelchair to the sides of the vehicle. There are also 2 outdoor disabled parking spaces located south of the parking lot. Turn right after you pass the section building barrier at King David 8. These parking spaces are intended for the use of especially tall or large vehicles transporting people with mobility disabilities. There is no need to coordinate the use of the indoor parking lot, but we do not reserve spaces. The use of the parking lot is based on available space, as is the case with disabled parking lots. However, to use the outside parking lots you must coordinate your arrival in advance so that we can arrange the opening of the parking barrier ahead of time. The coordination must be made at the hotel reception, 24/7 by Tel:093730013 extension 1 sub extension 2

Entrance to the hotel

You can enter the guest elevator with a wheelchair directly from -2 parking lot. The guest elevator leads to the reception, rooms and the hotel spa. Alternatively, you can also enter at the main entrance through one of the 2 doors between the carousel entrance.

Reception: both in the hotel and in the spa there is an accessible reception that is adapted for wheelchair use. In the 2 receptions, there is a hearing aid system intended for those with hearing disabilities who use hearing aids.

Accessible toilets

There are accessible toilets located at the entrance to the restaurant and clearly marked from the reception area of the hotel.

There are accessible toilets at the hotel spa as well as wheelchair accessible shower. These toilets are located near the sauna by the pool.

Elevators

The 2 guest elevators are adapted for wheelchair users, and the entrance to the elevators is marked with rough floor stripes in order to mark the elevator area for the visually impaired. Also, on each floor in the marble frame at the elevator entrance on the right side, there is an embossed floor number that can be touched and is intended to mark the floor by touch. Of course, the elevator has a voice announcement in Hebrew on the floor we are on.

Technological aids for the hearing impaired

Technological aids are found in several places in the hotel such as the hotel`s or spa`s reception desk, the hotel bar, and at the entrance to the restaurant at the hostess stand. These aids are meant for people with hearing disabilities who use hearing aids.

Hotel spa

The hotel spa has a heated pool with a special elevator to lower a disabled person into the water. If this is the case, the arrival must be coordinated in advance so that we can prepare the elevator ahead of time, since 2 people are needed to get one safely into the water. There are also accessible toilets, showers, and dressing rooms. The Turkish hammam at the spa is accessible to wheelchair users, as well as 2 accessible treatment rooms.

Restaurant

The hotel restaurant is on the ground floor in front of the reception and can be entered with a wheelchair. If necessary and upon request, we have special chairs with armrests in the restaurant that allow the user of a wheelchair to move to a regular chair during the meal if he wishes so.

The meals are served at the buffet, but the waiters are at your disposal to serve the food from the buffet.

Call center

The hotel operator is active 24/7. Tel: 093730013. You can also send an email to [email protected]

Or fax to 093730016. It is also possible, if needed, to send faxes from the hotel reception to an external number free of charge (in Israel).

Rooms

The hotel has 2 superior city view rooms that are accessible for wheelchairs. The bathroom is also wheelchair accessible. These rooms must be coordinated and booked in advance, especially during the summer, on holidays, and on weekends. It is possible to add a single sofa in these rooms for the accommodation of a companion or, alternatively, you can book an adjoining classic room for the use of a companion (for a fee).

Animals

The entry of animals is generally prohibited excluding accommodating guide dogs for the blind and severely visually impaired. Please coordinate in advance so that we can supply a water tank and food for your guide dog.

Hotel staff

The hotel staff, some of whom have undergone a workshop for accessible service, are at your disposal for any request for assistance that will make your stay more comfortable. For any question or request, contact us in advance by phone or email
